I'll be the first to admit that exercising is not really my thing, because I hate getting all sweaty. I know how that makes me sound, but I really hate being hot. I would much rather be cold. I like taking walks when it's not too hot and humid, and when it is so hot my face feels like it will melt off, the only outdoor exercise you can get me to do is biking. I love how the wind in my face cools me off, and during the Spring/Summer of 2020 my family did A LOT of biking.

My point in bringing up my laziness and fondness for biking is this; after getting cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19, Rockford's 'Cycle On Second" is making a comeback!

Here's What 'Cycle On Second' Is All About

A couple things I love most about Rockford's 'Cycle On Second' is;  it's family friendly and takes you through a beautiful area of the city, and most importantly, it's completely free to be a part of.

So...you better grease up your bike's gears and free up some time on September 12th  for the return of 'Cycle on Second'. Specific details about the 2021 event will be coming soon, but here is what the City of Rockford has told us so far...

In past years 'Cycle On Second' has also featured a mini City Market experience with vendors, food, games and more set up at the Rockford Park District's Trolley Station on Madison following the ride, and I'm hoping it will be the same in 2021. See...I told you it was fun for the whole family!
