Midwest Student Banned From Prom After Racist Promposal
An Ohio student will not be allowed to attend his prom because of his racist 'promposal' sign.
After school district officials saw this Bellville, Ohio student's sign, he was banned from participating in any prom activities for this racist sign.
Janice Wyckoff, the superintendent at Clear Fork Valley Local Schools, said:
Kids need to understand, when you're celebrating things it doesn't give you a pass on using inappropriate racial slurs
The 'promposal' happened off school grounds, and at present, no other disciplinary action has been taken.
Additionally, Superintendent Wyckoff said:
This is a process, growing up is a process, and this is one of those moments that's a teachable moment for this kid that will last a lifetime
