Forget the flowers, jewelry, and yes, even chocolate, this is what Mom really wants for Mother's Day!

It's a joke between my husband and I that I took the "easy way out" when giving birth to our daughter, Ella. After getting induced and being in labor for 47 hours, my labor story ended with a C-section, hence "the easy way out." No, my husband doesn't really think anything about that journey was easy, but it is a funny comeback if I use the line "I gave birth for you." Maybe I am twisted, but I think it is funny.

I have to give kudos to my husband, and to all fathers for that matter, for your support and suffering during the labor process. I'm sure it is no fun to get screamed and swatted at for no real reason, but honey, it ain't got nothing on the real pain of labor. Not to mention the humiliation of having your naughty bits on display for the whole room to see, and all the other nasty things that happen during child birth. I would pay good money to see how my husband would react in this situation...

Any other ladies think that this exercise should be a required part of the birthing class agenda for first-time parents?
