It's almost the end of October, which means our beautiful fall trees are slowly but surely losing their leaves. Soon enough all the trees will be bare, and the ground will be covered with leaves.

Officials say the entire city’s leaves will be collected so residents are asked to pile up the leaves at the curb. Be sure they stay on your cub and you don't pile them into the street.

Don't bag your leaves up, just gather them in a pile so that the giant leaf vacuum can easily gather and remove your leaves. Everything looks different in 2020, even collecting leaves in the Fall apparently.

Leaf collection continues throughout the fall until snow begins. For updates you can follow Alderman Clint Little on Facebook so you know if anything changes. Rock River Disposal has been forced to delay yard pickup due to worker COVID-19 infections. Updates on changes to that will be coming as well.
