The eyes of the world are on Chicago this week as the Democratic National Convention takes over the United Center and McCormick Place.

Comedy Shows Live from Theaters in Chicago for DNC

While the convention is in town, some late-night comedy talk shows are taping their programs from historic Chicago theaters.

CBS' Late Show with Stephen Colbert has taken over the Auditorium Theater this week for live shows that began on Monday night (8/19) with a special show open.

'The Chicago National Anthem' kicked off Colbert's first show and had jokes about everything you can imagine in the Windy City, from the Deep Dish Pizza to the Chicago Bears, and featured many celebrities who made the city their home.

The anthem starts with Stephen Colbert blowing into a Chicago Style Hot Dog like it's a pitch whistle, then opens with the first lyric of "Oh Say Can We Eat..."

Jennifer Hudson, Jason Sudeikis, Nick Offerman, and Sean Hayes were some famous faces in the comedy clip that makes stops at many landmarks around town.
