Looking for Spring Fun? This Illinois Tulip Fest Is Ready to Deliver
Tulip season is in full swing right now in Illinois, and I just found another must-visit spot to add to your spring bucket list: Kuipers Family Farm in Maple Park.
Favorite Thing About Spring
I really hope I don't jinx things by saying this, but I think legit spring has finally arrived in Illinois.
We survived spring of deception and third winter, now we just need to make it through lots of rain and pollen and we'll be kissing summer hello before you know it.

I may not enjoy the rain and mud that comes along with spring, but seeing flower beds and fields filled with tulips makes it all worth it. If the sight of thousands of blooming tulips fills your heart with joy too, you need to plan a visit to Kuipers Family Farm in Maple Park this month!
Midwest Tulip Fest at Kuipers Family Farm
Located just a little over an hour from Rockford, Kuipers doesn’t just do tulips, it's a full-on spring, family fun day. There are fun farm activities for kids, tasty drinks for the adults, shopping at their farmstand, and live music on weekends.
Kuipers Family Farm also offers a U-Cut tulip option, so not only will you have a camera roll filled with beautiful tulips, you can bring vases full of them home with you too!
Kuipers' Special Tulip Packages
To me, millions of gorgeous tulips in bloom aren't just a family fun opportunity, it's the perfect excuse for a date night...and Kuipers has a package for that.
Kuipers' 2026 Midwest Tulip Fest is scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 16, but please keep in mind that tulips play on Mother Nature's schedule, not ours. Keep a close eye on Kuipers' website and social media to make sure the tulips are blooming before you go. You can also buy tickets in advance here.
