Do you know a child with a passion for DIY entrepreneurship? Rockford City Market has the perfect opportunity for them coming up this June!

Crafty Kids

For as long as I can remember, I have always loved making things.

I used to spend hours cross-stitching with my grandma as a kid, and now over 30 years later I have turned my passion for crafting into a side hustle making laser-cut and hand-painted wood ornaments, signs, and more.

For the last couple of years, my two daughters have spent the majority of the fall months helping mom and dad at crafts shows all around the area, and they love it! Plus, it has sparked a passion in them to make things to sell too.

If you’ve ever watched your kid turn a pile of beads into 47 bracelets they then try to sell back to you for $5 each, book them a booth now for Rockford City Market Jr. coming up this June.

Rockford City Market Jr.

Rockford City Market Jr. is all about giving local kids their moment to shine, show off, and sell their handmade crafts.

This special kids market will take place inside the Market Hall next to the main Rockford City Market pavilion on Friday, June 26th from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

For $50, kids get an 8x8 booth space and a table, which is pretty amazing considering the number of people who attend Rockford City Market every Friday night.

I love this idea because it teaches kids confidence, money skills, creativity, and how to talk to customers without hiding behind you the whole time. Plus, making inventory is a great way to keep them busy during summer break. LOL!

If your house is like mine and has crafting supplies shoved in every possible storage space, turn that creative chaos into something meaningful (and hopefully profitable).

Booth space for Rockford City Market Jr. is limited, so make sure you fill out an application ASAP here.
