Well, this is awkward.

Just watch this and let me know if you notice anything ... off.

I'd lie if I said I wasn't laughing a little too hard at this. I feel like KFC definitely isn't the only brand that's had to adjust some advertising during the pandemic. With some of the major warnings of COVID-19 being "wash your hands" and "don't touch your face", encouraging customers to lick their fingers probably isn't best.

And that's why KFC is suspending the use of "It's Finger Lickin' Good" slogan in its advertising after 64 years. But hopefully this is only temporarily. Chief Marketing Officer of KFC said in a statement -

We find ourselves in a unique situation – having an iconic slogan that doesn’t quite fit in the current environment. While we are pausing the use of It’s Finger Lickin’ Good, rest assured the food craved by so many people around the world isn’t changing one bit.

So the new ad was posted to the brand's U.K. and Ireland YouTube page. I have yet to see anything on TV in the US yet, but I'm sure we will soon.

I'm curious though, isn't this logo on their packaging? I should know because I eat there pretty often but I can't remember if the logo is all over or not. If it is, will they just cross it out with Sharpie? I guess I'll have to hit the drive-thru to find out.
