Did you have a cup of decaf this morning that felt like there might be some caffeine in it? That might be the case because Keurig recently issued a major recall of coffee pods.

Keurig's Coffee Pod Recall News

Keurig said more than 80,000 coffee pods labeled "decaf" may actually contain caffeine. The pods in question are the McCafe Premium Roast Decaf K-Cups with a best-by date of November 17, 2026, and UPC 043000073438.

Details on the Affected Pods

960 cartons were recalled in the notice, each loaded with 84 pods. These pods were distributed in California, Indiana, and Nevada, but Keurig says the affected pods were sold through Amazon, meaning you could easily have them sitting in your pantry in Illinois.

FDA's Classification and Health Implications

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is classifying it as a Class II recall, which means it is expected to cause only temporary health effects. The recall was originally issued back in December and classified by the FDA just last week.
