If you have the right stuff, it could be worth thousands of dollars. Recently, a thief targeted some very valuable sports memorabilia.

According to Fox 32 Chicago...
A suburban Chicago storage facility manager pleaded guilty to transporting stolen sports memorabilia.
Prosecutors say the items belonged to Walter Payton’s estate and were sold for $75,000.
The memorabilia was later valued at more than $1 million.
The family of the late Chicago Bears legend Walter Payton had a bunch of his personal items locked up in a storage facility located in Hoffman Estates. The thief busted into the locked a stole a bunch of the valuables. The family called the police, but were afraid they would never see it again. During the investigation, the police tracked down the stolen goods.

The suspect had sold all the stolen items to a pawn shop in Hammond, Indiana. The memorabilia was worth over a million dollars, but the thief only got $75,000 for the stuff. Not that's a dumb criminal doing a stupid crime.
