Illinois Thief Returns To The Scene Of The Crime And Gets Arrested

I heard someone say a long time ago, smart people don't end up with their name in the police blotter. It's so true. The majority of the criminals out there aren't smart; that's why they're breaking the law. That's why they get busted all of the time. Another perfect example happened in Illinois.

A pair of thieves in Illinois stole $10,000 worth of merchandise from a designer clothing shop in Chicago. They walked into the store and started stashing merchandise in their coats and pants. By the time an employee noticed the shoplifters, they were out the door and gone. Pretty much a clean escape. They might've gotten away with it, but the two criminals got greedy and broke a major rule of breaking the law. They returned to the scene of the crime.

The next day, the two thieves returned to the same store at the same time to rob it again. This time, the shop staff were ready. The employees immediately saw the shoplifters in the middle of the act. When they tried to escape again, the manager locked the door. The suspects broke the glass door to get out. Just as they thought it was safe, the local police showed up and arrested them. Another case of dumb criminals committing stupid crimes.
