If you're looking for a unique winter activity, then one of Illinois' top attractions offers an interesting experience you won't find anywhere else in the state.

Navy Pier Is Now Offering A Floating Sauna Experience For This Winter

Sauna has never really been my thing, but this one I might have to check out. It's funny because I'm Finnish and saunas are very popular in Finland. In fact, most of our family from there has one. I'm just not an extreme heat or cold person, so I haven't been in one in a very long time.

Inspired by Nordic sauna culture it combines the heat and ritual of a traditional dry sauna, with the unique element of being dockside - allowing guests to alternate sauna rounds with easy access to a natural cold plunge in the lake.

Even for someone who isn't normally into Saunas, this looks like a really cool experience. It's floating right off of Navy Pier. That means your cold blunge is in Lake Michigan. Think about how beautiful a view that would be. So, if you've been wanting to give saunas a try, this is the perfect way to do that.

Plus, the other cool thing is that the floating sauna is located at Navy Pier, which is a fun place to hang out. There's a bunch of restaurants and stores. You can also check out all the other attractions on the pier. If you've never been, I highly suggest going to see it.
