Scary Situation For A Group Of Illinois Fishermen Out On The Wrong Lake

When I was growing up, one of my dad's friends lived out in the country. The guy owned a lot of land, including a small lake that he had stocked with fish. It made sense because this dude loved fishing. We would go visit him and join him on the lake sometimes. The man would get really upset because people would sneak onto his property to fish on his lake. He was known to threaten them with a shotgun.

I learned a valuable lesson from the experience: don't trespass on other people's property, especially to go fishing on their private lake. They're very protective of it. Of course, fishermen have no fear when it comes to finding the perfect fishing hole.

A group of fishermen and a private lake owner in Illinois recently got themselves into a scary situation. The fishermen snuck onto the private lake. The owner got very angry, but they wouldn't leave, so he grabbed his rifle and fired a warning shot. The local police were called, and the lake owner did get a ticket for reckless discharge of a firearm. Hopefully, everyone learned their lesson.
