Popular Norwegian SnøMarket Opening This Weekend In Rockford
One of the most festive, winter markets in Rockford, Illinois is returning for one weekend only at The Norwegian on Main Street.
Held every winter, they celebrate Rockford's Norwegian roots with a festive outdoor market filled with traditional food, crafts, and activities. I've attended a few times and it's a really magical time!
Attend The Norwegian's Annual SnøMarket 2022
Friday, Dec. 16th & Saturday, Dec. 17th: 3-9pm, Sunday, Dec. 18th: 11am-5pm
There will be a Scavenger Hunt, Mölkky, Æbleskiver Lessons, Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides, Æbleskiver Biathlon, a Herring Toss, Scandi-Triathlon, Carole-oke, and Toga Honk (viking tug-of-war) at the SnøMarket!
Visitors can expect delicious Norwegian delights, including hot cocoa, akvavit in ice cube shot glasses, hot cider, glögg in glass mugs, hot food, and sweets like krumkake & kannelsnurrer.

In addition to the food, the family-friendly event will feature tons of handmade crafts to get your holiday gifts taken care of. It's all made with local love!
Jewelry, hand-knitted goods, ceramics, and many more vendors will be available this weekend at The Norwegian's SnøMarket.
How about a picture with a Yeti? Yeah, you heard that right!
He'll be making an appearance, so if you spot him make sure to snap a pic.
