Illinois Opens Special Enrollment After Thousands Lose Medicaid
Thousands of lawfully present immigrants in Illinois who lost Medicaid coverage due to President Trump's budget legislation will have limited options for health insurance through the Illinois marketplace.
New Health Insurance Option Available Through December
Get Covered Illinois has opened a special enrollment period for eligible residents who were affected by federal changes, allowing them to sign up for marketplace health insurance through December 31, 2026.
The special enrollment period also allows customers to receive coverage retroactive to October 1, potentially helping eligible residents avoid a gap in their health coverage.
