A cheeseburger can be just so boring. Think about how many times you have taken a burger for granted.

Growing up they used to be a treat. Something I would get if my Mom didn't have time to make dinner. We'd just drive through somewhere. Better yet, my Dad would throw burgers on the grill.

Now, if you're hungry, just slide through your nearest drive-thru burger joint and grab one or two and you're on your way.

The truth is, there's nothing "outrageous" about that. It's more of a means to an end. Don't get me wrong, it can be a delicious means to an end but still, it's nothing too crazy.

And for me, eating crazy food is the spice of life. So when I saw this yesterday, I immediately thought, "I might need to check this burger out."

Just a few months ago, Yelp released their list of the 11 Most Outrageous Burgers on Yelp, and one of those eleven you can get right here in Illinois.

The best part of that is you can bowl a game or two and then get your burger because the restaurant is located inside a bowling alley.

The joint is called Boba Burger and they're serving up something called the BBQ Lechon Burger, and Yelp thinks it's hella cray.

Yelp:

By the time Boba Burger’s BBQ Lechon Burger is constructed, the juicy, crunchy lechon—Filipino roast pork—has already been slow-cooking for 4 hours. The place’s owners, brothers Loc Tran and Anthony Kim Tran, roast the lechon to perfection, deep-fry it to order, and place it atop a 5-ounce beef patty loaded up with fixings: cheese, lettuce, tomato, a large onion ring, and Chicago-based Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce.

Boba Burger is rated a 4.5 out of 5 and the reviews are overwhelmingly positive.

Here's the most negative comment I could find regarding the Lechon Burger at Boba:

I would have preferred if the lechon was chopped a little more. It was tucked inside an onion ring but still hard to eat.

That's it. That's the most negative thing someone can say about that burger. Sounds like an absolute winner to me.

Boba Burger is located inside Classic Bowl at 8530 Waukegan Road in Morton Grove.
