After many years of setbacks, Ho-Chunk Nation announced they're finally breaking ground on a new casino in Beloit, Wisconsin this fall.

Ho-Chunk officials say the construction could take up to 18 months to complete the 139,000 square-foot casino in Beloit.

With a whopping 1,500-1,800 slot machines, 44 table games, and an area dedicated to sports betting, the Beloit casino will also have an eighteen-story hotel with over 300 rooms.  Plus, a 30,000-square-foot convention center and a variety of dining options, including full-service restaurants.

Once the casino and hotel open, over 1,500 jobs are projected to be created by the casino, not including the 3,000 jobs provided by the construction project.  If you're a local resident or a Ho-Chunk tribe member, you have a great chance of getting hired!

The Beloit casino is one of several major developments planned by the Ho-Chunk Nation. They're planning on expanding their gaming operations in Wisconsin Dells and build a new casino in the city of Wittenberg.

"Road improvements on Willowbrook and Colley roads are currently under design with roadwork scheduled to begin in 2025. The City of Beloit received nearly $13.5 million in a U.S. Department of Transportation RAISE grant to help fund the road improvements. A required local match for the remaining portion of the road project will be provided by the Ho-Chunk Nation." [City of Beloit]

Construction for the Beloit casino will breaking ground this fall and is expected to be completed by 2026.
