There’s so much to love about fall: the crisp weather, the colorful leaves, and, of course, the food. Nothing says fall quite like soup season, and the best one to make this time of year is chili. As it turns out, there’s a restaurant that serves what many say is the very best bowl of chili in Illinois.

Fall Favorite Foods

My favorite way to enjoy chili in the fall is by making it in the crockpot. Letting it simmer all day with peppers, onions, and my secret ingredients makes it irresistible. I can hardly wait to make my first batch this year! But if you’re traveling this fall and happen to find yourself in the Windy City, that’s where you can find what many call the best chili in the state.

What Makes This Chili the Best in Illinois

I could probably do without all the toppings, but I’d still give it a try. I’m not someone who usually enjoys super-spicy foods, but if this has been named the best, then I’d want to try it exactly as it’s served, just to say I’ve had the best bowl of chili in Illinois.
