As far as alcohol is concerned, I generally drink it like most people.  However, I'm never shy to try it in different ways, except I probably draw a blurry line on vodka enemas.

The other night after my got not one, but two parking tickets in the same day I made a stop to grab her some wine and as I was strolling through Belknap Liquor, I noticed a small clear lid chest freezer with what looked like ice cream in it.

It was in fact ice cream in various flavors, but it also had alcohol in it.  It is made by a company called PROOF or PR%F.

I didn't spend a lot of time looking and just grabbed the first flavor that caught my eye which was Cheesecake Moonshine.  I got home, promptly poured my wife a glass of wine, and then skipped the bowl and dug into the boozy ice cream.

The container held just shy of 13 ounces of product advertised on the label as 10 Proof, and 5% Alcohol content by volume.  The flavor of a vanilla cheesecake was definitely present and so was the tinge of alcohol.

I told myself I wouldn't finish the whole container, but I did, and I don't regret it.  It was sweet but not too sweet, but I'm not sure if I caught any kind of a buzz from it.  All said and done, it's something I would try again, though next time I'm going for the Sweet Caramel Old Fashioned flavor.  For the price point of about 10 bucks for a container, it's not something I'd stock the whole freezer with but come summer will be a go-to for a nice cooling treat.
