Wallethub.com surveyed over 1250 smaller communities all across the United States to find out the best small towns in America. From those results we found the small communities that call Illinois home.

Wallethub says that smaller towns offer closer communities, less competition, shorter commutes.

The criteria to determine the the best of the best included:

• Quality of Life

The good news is that one Stateline town made the national top 10
