As you plan our who you'll be sending Christmas cards to, remember to include a card or two for our military.

Just announced yesterday by Illinois First Lady, Diana Rauner, you can join our state in spreading holiday cheer to our service men and women.

If you appreciate all that our military does for us and would like to tell them so here is where you can send you season greetings.

ABC7 reports that with the help of Diana Rauner, Illinois' 2017 Holiday Card Drive for our Military is on.

This card drive is due to a partnership with several Illinois organizations including: "United Service Organization of Illinois, the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs and the Illinois Executive Mansion Association." Which "aims to send servicemen and women overseas holiday cards to let them know people back home are thinking about them during the holidays."

If you would like to join, you have from now until November 20th to get your cards in the mail.

Here's is where to send your cards of Christmas cheer:

USO of Illinois - Cards for Heroes
333 S. Wabash Ave., 16th Floor
Chicago, IL 60604

You may also drop your cards off "a local Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs Service Office."
