Illinois Rivers Are Expected To Flood After Recent Snow And Rain

Northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin residents were scrambling for winter coats and shovels this weekend. Now they may need sandbags by the end of the week.

Former Rockford meteorologist Eric Sorensen heeded warning of potential flooding for residents along the Mississippi River while providing an in-depth explanation. In short, the rain/melted snow far north will cause the mighty Mississippi to crest as the week progresses.
