Illinois Public Health Director Says Stop Gargling Household Cleaners

I'm all for a good home remedy as long as it's natural and safe, i.e. not the liquid at the bottom of a container of Lysol Disinfectant wipes mixed with mouthwash. If you're looking for a similar taste that technically isn't poison go buy a bottle of Malort. But, seriously, if a warning like this has been released to the public it means more than one person in Illinois has lost their damn mind.

I understand people are worried about contracting coronavirus but we know we aren't supposed to do this. We know we're not supposed to eat/drink chemicals like bleach but enough people have done it to merit Illinois' Public Health Director to issue a statement.

Some recent examples include the use of detergent solution for a sinus rinse and gargling with a bleach and mouthwash mixture in an attempt to kill Coronavirus. Injecting, ingesting, snorting household cleaners is dangerous.

Decatur, Illinois NBC-affiliate WAND reports the increase is all because of President Trump.

The increase in cases comes after comments made by President Trump asking about injecting household cleaning products to kill the virus.
