
Four Illinois Nursing Homes Reported for Violations, Fined by IDPH

243 Nursing Home Violations Reported So Far in 2025
According to an IDPH press release, 243 completed violations have already been reported this year in Illinois.

These reports provide detailed findings on nursing home deficiencies and enforcement actions taken between January and March 2025.
Four Facilities Cited for Violations Linked to Resident Deaths
Among the reported violations, four nursing home facilities in Illinois received "AA" violations, which are the most severe citations issued under the Nursing Home Care Act.

An "AA" violation is assessed when a nursing home's actions, or lack thereof, directly result in a resident's death. Each of these facilities also faced significant financial penalties:
- Alden Estates of Huntley in Huntley, fined $50,000.
- Bria of Palos Hills in Palos Hills, fined $52,000 for an "AA" and a lesser "B" violation.
- City View Multicare Center in Cicero, fined $50,000.
- Goldwater Care Danville in Danville, fined $25,000.
Public Urged to Report Nursing Home Concerns
The Illinois Department of Public Health encourages all Illinois residents to report any concerns about healthcare facilities licensed by the department.
