Can You Help Illinois Law Enforcement Find This Wanted Man?
A man who was involved in a fatal crash in 2022 is wanted by law enforcement after charges were filed by the Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office.
Man from Rockford Sought for Reckless Homicide
According to a press release from the Rockford Police Department, a man who was involved in a traffic crash that occurred in June 2022 is wanted.
The two-vehicle collision took place at Forest Hills Rd and Pleasant Valley Blvd and when Rockford Police arrived on the scene they observed "an adult woman who had been ejected from one of the vehicles."
The woman who was ejected from her vehicle was taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to Rockford PD.
A passenger who was riding in the car that was hit in the wreck died of her injuries at a local hospital. She was identified as Brenda Fultz.
The driver of the offending vehicle has been identified as 29-year-old James Sims who has been charged with:
- Reckless Homicide
- 2 Counts of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Drugs

All charges against Sims are "merely accusations and all individuals are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law," according to the press release from Rockford PD.
