It's only a matter of time before vaping is banned from being used inside public places of Illinois.

As of this writing, the only law as far as smoking indoors relates to cigarettes but it looks like that may be changing sooner than later. The argument amongst state officials centers around the health risks of secondhand vaping, according to WQAD.

Janet Hill with Rock Island County Public Health Department cited research that suggests vape clouds, inhaled through secondhand smoke, could have damaging health effects like cigarette smoke.

Hill told WQAD she understands people that vape (or smoke) have their rights but so does those that do not smoke or vape.

The bill passed in the Illinois Senate and rests in the hands of the House Rules Committee.
