
First Week of June in Illinois Will Bring Days of Dangerous Severe Weather
The weather in Rockford for the first weekend of June will be a rollercoaster with cooler temperatures and rain on Saturday, but then it heats up and storms could get violent.
The current weather forecast for the Rockford region and Chicagoland for Saturday, June 1 will feel more like the first day of November with rain likely most of the day.

According to the Weather Channel, both Chicago and Rockford have a 99 percent chance of rain on Saturday with high temps only expected to get into the mid to upper-60s.
Sunday (6/2) will be dry and temps rising back into the lower 80s in Rockford, while still in the upper 60s in Chicago with morning clouds and afternoon sunshine.
Late Sunday night going into early Monday morning (6/3), there's a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, and late in the day Monday, the threat increases to a 70 percent chance of storms for the Rockford area, according to the National Weather Service.

A chance of more rain and thunderstorms will continue into Tuesday (6/4), and then a 50 percent chance of morning thunderstorms on Wednesday (6/5), according to the National Weather Service.
Chicagoland will have highs near 80 on Wednesday and Thursday of next week before mild temperatures arrive for several days.
Temperatures in Rockford for the extended forecast show high temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s after the thunderstorms end on Wednesday night and we have a nice stretch of weather through mid-June.
