The combined fortune of the top 100 wealthiest women in the U.S. was $154 Billion, and there are now 31 self-made women billionaires, 7 more than just one year ago.

Many of America's Richest Self-Made Women are from the Midwest

Of the Top 15 Richest Self-Made Women in the U.S., 2 are from Wisconsin, 2 are from Illinois, and 1 is a resident of Michigan.

You'll recognize the 14the Richest Self-Made Woman in America because she has just one name.

Oprah, from Chicago, is worth $3 Billion and ranks 14th richest self-made woman.

The owner of Little Caesars' Pizza is the 7th Richest Self-Made Woman in America and is from Michigan. Marian Ilitch has a net worth of 4.6 Billion.

Elizabeth Uihlein is the 5th Richest Self-Made Woman in America and is from Lake Forest, Illinois. She is the president of Uline, which is "North America's biggest distributor of shipping, packaging and industrial supplies," according to Forbes.

Of the Top 3 Richest Self-Made Women in America, 2 are from Wisconsin

The 3rd Richest Self-Made Woman in the U.S. is Judy Faulkner who "founded medical-record software provider Epic Systems," according to Forbes. She has a net worth of $7.6 Billion and resides in Madison, Wisconsin.

America's Richest Self-Made Woman for the seventh straight year is from Afton, Wisconsin, and has a net worth of at least $20.9 Billion
