A scary moment for a juvenile on Saturday night (4/29) when bullets were fired into a home barely missing him.

Bullet Nearly Hit Boy While He Was In His Bedroom

According to the press release from the Rockford Police Department, officers responded around 10:55 pm on Saturday night for a report of shots fired in the 2100 block of Stornway Drive.

Upon arrival, RPD were told by witnesses that two vehicles quickly left the area after they heard gunshots and officers noticed that the home on Stornway Drive was struck by multiple bullets.

While investigating the incident, officers learned that a 14-year-old male in the home was in his bedroom during the time of the shooting, and one of the shots "barely missed him," according to the press release.

No further details about suspects or arrests were provided in the press release.
