According to CNN, there's currently a dispute going on between Apple and the medical device maker that's connected with the blood oxygen feature that's available on some generations of the Apple Watch.

A "momentous patent dispute" is about to play out and Apple has decided to pull one of its most popular items off store shelves and remove it from the Apple online store.

The Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 will no longer be available for purchase online as of this Thursday (12/21), and in stores the last day will be December 24.

According to the CNN story, there will be other Apple Watch models available to purchase after December 24, but "an import ban would impact Apple Watch Series 6 and later, and all models of Apple Watch Ultra imported after the end of an upcoming review period."
