IL Man With Name on Neck Arrested For Giving Police A Fake Name

It takes a lot of confidence to present a fake i.d. to a police officer, especially when your name is tattooed on your throat.

This is exactly what a guy in Mattoon, Illinois did... or at least tried to do. It didn't work.

The charge alleges that on 10/08/19 MPD was investigating a forgery involving Mr. Bushman, during which time Mr. Bushman provided police with a false name and date of birth to avoid arrest on an active Peoria Co warrant.

I don't really understand getting your own name tattooed on your body, especially on your neck. It might make more sense if the name was tattooed backward with the letters reversed, then at least he would look in the mirror if he forgot his name.

The lesson here is to not lie to the police, ever.
