How to Cut a Watermelon without a Knife: Does this Work?

Don't you hate when you have a watermelon and then can't find a knife to cut it?

Here's how cut it without one. Hmmm? Does this work?

According to my Life Hacks calendar you don't need knife to slice a watermelon in half. Just a quarter and your hand.

By the way that did hurt my hand a bit. I'm not a karate expert by any means so possibly I was chopping it the wrong way. I'm not sure how else I could have hit the melon to split it?

On a side note: The quarter sized slit made it a lot easy to cut the melon through with my knife after the video. So maybe that should have been the life hack tip. Hmm?
