Have you seen the store shelves filling up with fall flavors yet?

The first pumpkin flavor I saw was pumpkin-flavored coffee pods. However, with September so close on the horizon, soon enough we'll see ALL of the pumpkin spice and cinnamon flavors. Oh, I also forgot caramel apple and nutmeg. Probably some other fall flavors I'm forgetting, but those are the main ones.

Personally, I'm not too pumpkin spice obsessed. I'll indulge here and there, but I'm not that person who has pumpkin everything during fall. But there's plenty of people in Illinois that go full-on fall mode.

One leaf drops and its game over. The house is decorated, the fall candle is lit, and the scary movies are on the TV. Where does Illinois fall in terms of fall obsession? Well, a new survey from Zippia broke it down by state.

Honestly, kind of disappointed that the designated pumpkin state isn't higher up on the list. We actually fell almost smack dab in the middle of the list.

Here's how it all broke down -

Illinois came in at #24

Maine came in the most pumpkin spice obsessed. And the least obsessed state? Mississippi!

The survey also found that our favorite places to indulge in some fall flavors are Dunkin' and Starbucks for our classic PSL.  My favorite way to have a taste of fall? A trip to your favorite orchard for some apple cider donuts and other seasonal treats.

You can NEVER go wrong with an apple cider donut.
