I can tell you for a fact that this week is not the first time Donna Arnold of Stillman Valley has been nominated for Q98.5's  Hometown Hero honor. I have read several past nomination letters, all from different Stillman Valley community members, speaking the praises of Donna and her unending support of both veterans and active-duty military members, but her dedication doesn't stop there.

To put it simply, Donna Arnold is a treasured member of the Stillman Valley community.

Here's what Shelby wrote in her nomination letter about Donna;

 "Donna is an active part of our community with the Military both veterans and active duty. She is a part of starting RED (remember everyone deployed) Fridays and makes sure that every Military member that is a graduate of SVHS is remembered and celebrated no matter where they are in their journey. Every Veterans day she goes to the Byron HS and walks 1 lap each for all past and present Military, including my two brothers and sister in law. This last year she walked close to 80 laps if not more I believe. She is sending them care packages this Christmas like she does every other Christmas. She deserves so much recognition for her selfless acts. I would love to share some photos with you if given the opportunity. Lastly, she is at nearly every sports event (even though her children are long graduated) to take pictures to share with the community. Please consider Donna for this award, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Enjoy listening to you guys daily and hope you choose her. Thank you!"

Thanks to our friends at Gustafson's Furniture and Mattress, we are giving Donna Arnold a $100 Amazon gift card as a thank you for her passion. I hope you use it to treat yourself to something special, Donna, or at the very least, buy a new pair of walking shoes. :)
