The weather was the reason Ice Castles Wisconsin (Lake Geneva) had to cancel because of subzero temperatures. This week's closure is a completely different story yet still related to weather.

On Super Bowl Sunday Ice Castles had to close because of the warmth, which sounds odd. The reason is due to the melting ice making things really slippery, according to a Wisconsin FOX affiliate.

Warmer temperatures made conditions inside dangerous. On Saturday, the castles closed early -- and on Sunday, no one would step foot inside due to safety concerns.

The article shared this message they received via text by someone that had purchased tickets for Monday, February 4.

URGENT UPDATE: Due to weather conditions, Ice Castles will be closed tomorrow, Monday, Feb. 4th. Your tickets will be automatically refunded. You will receive an email soon with more detailed info. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this unforeseen weather challenge.

According to IceCastles.com, the attraction will be open tonight (4 p.m.-9 p.m.) but closed on Tuesday. The hours for the rest of the week vary. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance online.
