You remember where you were when Barrett landed the punch heard 'round Chicago.

The two fan bases remember this incident very differently.

Cub fans remember this as the game where A.J. Pierzynski finally got what he deserved. It's no secret that A.J. Pierzynski was one of the more hated players in the league. By everyone. Umpires, players, even teammates had a long storied history with the antagonist. A.J. was a VERY good player, a guy you wanted on your team, but absolutely despised if you were playing him, especially if he was playing for your rival.

Don't just take my word for it. Here's a YouTube video of every A.J. Pierzynski ejection. It's six minutes long. The dude loved getting ejected.

99% of all Cub fans either have no idea who won the game or will insist that the Cubs did (they did not.)

One other Pierzynsky story. Riley was talking to an MLB umpire one time and asked him who the biggest jerk in the league was to deal with. Without taking a second to think about it, the umpire responded A.J. Pierzynski. The guy had a reputation.

White Sox fans will remember the game as the time that the whiny Cubs sucker-punched one of their stars because the White Sox were considerably better than the Cubs at the time. They will 100% remind you that the White Sox went on to win 7-0, and embarrassed the Cubs that year.

Both of these accounts are accurate.

P.S. I love looking through some of these names in the box score. Juan Pierre, Nefi Perez, Aramis Ramirez, Matt Murton, Jerry Hairston Jr., HENRY BLANCO. The White Sox roster was SIGNIFICANTLY better.

P.P.S. I thought calling Henry Blanco, Hank White was one of the coolest things ever. I was/am a huge dork.
