Reasons Why Glamping Is Better Than Camping

Some people love pitching a tent and sleeping on the ground in the middle of the forest during the summer; I am 100 percent not one of those people.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy spending time outdoors, I just don't like bugs, heat, or sleeping on hard surfaces.

I've lived in Illinois my entire life and have never been to the Shawnee National Forest, but I just found one cool new reason to plan a trip there this summer...

The Tipi is in a very secluded, remote and private location only steps away from the Shawnee National Forest.

 

You will have direct access to the trail system from the Tipi with Sand Cave, Maxwell Ford and Millstone Lake nearby.

The only drawback about this glamping teepee, (if you can even call it a drawback), is that it has a "no guest under 18 and no pets" policy. So, if you were looking for an excuse to go on an adults-only getaway, here it is!  You can thank me later, lol.
