Gigantic Super Moth on Steroids Lands on A Window in Southern Wisconsin

Does this guy give you nightmares? Look what landed on the window.

This summer sure has been a strange one as creatures that we don't normally see have been popping up around the Stateline. The National Weather Service in Milwaukee snapped this photo of a moth that landed on their window at their weather office.

After snapping a photo of this super moth they asked :"Can anyone identify this type of moth?"

After doing a little research our closest guess would be Eacles imperialis otherwise know as Imperial Moths which are bright and beautiful members of a family known for its giants.

This has to be the coolest looking moth ever. Here's another look:

Unfortunately, this colorful giant moth lives a very boring short life. They basically breed then they die.
