Back in 2012 the television show "Ghost Hunters" made the spooky journey to Rockford to check out the Tinker Swiss Cottage.

According to Locations Hub Robert Hall Tinker was the mayor of Rockford back in 1875. His wife Mary died at the age of 72, in their home. Robert wrote in his journal that he spent the night alone with her casket and retrieved a ring from her hand.

Other than Robert's wife Mary, several other family members lived and died in the Tinker Swiss Cottage...Ghosts man, ghosts. Oh and there's a burial mound on the property.

So is the Tinker Swiss Cottage really haunted? Are the ghosts of Mary and other family members, still hanging around?
