General Mills to Remove Artificial Colors and Flavors from Their Cereals
General Mills announced today that they will be removing ALL artificial colors and flavors from their cereal brands. The company hopes to have 90% of their brands converted by the end of 2016, and the process and research has been in the works for several years. Before you freak out thinking that your beloved Trix or Reese's Puffs will now look and taste just like Kix cereal, don't worry, because that is far from the truth!
Thank you, General Mills for making this huge commitment. As a parent I still enjoy the sugary goodness of so many of your cereals, but have been feeling quite a lot of parental guilt for the fact that my daughter now loves them too. I can feel better now knowing she loves something natural and delicious.
