Garbage Pickup Delayed

The snow that hit the Stateline today has delayed motorists, employees, start times for businesses, and now your garbage pickup in Winnebago Country. Here's the latest.

Looks like Mother Nature wins another round with a knock out blow to your garbage. According to a press release on WREX TV 13, garbage collection will be delayed in Winnebago County throughout the week.

Collection will be delayed by one day the entire week for all communities and residential customers in the county. Collections have been suspended for today and will resume Tuesday due to snow packed road and slippery conditions.

So if your garbage is sitting by the curb and is still there, leave it. If your garbage pick up day is Tuesday, wait one more day.

The good news it's not too hot to make that refuse smell any worst. Thank Mother Nature for something today.
