Small Town, Big Fun: New GameStar Arcade Opens in Durand This Weekend
The new GameStar Arcade in Durand, Illinois is ready to deliver big-time entertainment for the whole family, just in time for summer!
Pros and Cons of Living in a Small Town
After living in the city of Rockford for over 40 years, I expected some growing pains when we moved to Pecatonica three years ago. But surprisingly, there weren’t any!
I thought I’d hate driving more than 10 minutes to work, but it doesn’t bother me at all. The sense of community in small towns is by far my favorite thing. If I had to choose one downside, it’s the limited family fun options—but that’s changing thanks to the new GameStar Arcade.

Honestly, I'm a bit embarrassed to admit how excited I was to find out their was a new place for families to eat and play opening soon in Pecatonica's neighbor town of Durand, Illinois.
GameStar Arcade is located at 202 N. Center St. in Durand and features many different arcade games people of all ages will love to play, but it also has a bar, a kitchen, Cedar Crest Ice Cream, an outdoor patio area that will host live music on select nights, and even a golf simulator!
