10 Wisconsin Winter Activities That Are Absolutely Free
When you live and play in a state that consistently ranks in the top 5 for most brutal winter weather in the United States, you not only have to embrace the cold but find ways to have fun in those freezing temps.
If you're looking for something to do and not add stress to your budget, Wisconsin offers never-ending adventures and activities that cost you absolutely nothing, except for the fuel that will be used to travel there.

But if you fill up your tank in America's Dairyland, the price per gallon will be significantly less than in border states.
Now it's time to get out into Wisconsin WInter and work on my wind tan, which sounds better than windburn, and check a few enjoyable activities off my list.

Go fast down the sledding hill at Elver Park
Talk a walk or hike along the Elroy-Sparta State Trail
Visit the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore
Learn something about history with a tour of the Wisconsin State Capitol
Put on something warm and head out to see what Wisconsin has to offer during our favorite season!
