Illinois Restaurants Offering Free Meals & Deals on Veterans Day

Many restaurants and businesses throughout Illinois are offering special meals and deals for Veterans today, and although free food and special savings may never appropriately express our gratitude to the brave servicemen and women in our country, it's a great start.

Rockford Area Restaurant Offering Special Veterans Day Deals

My goal this morning was to find as many places in the Rockford area as I could that were honoring our nation's Veterans with free meals and special deals today. I'm happy to report I found a lot of different options...

1. Backyard Grill & Bar

2. MIssion BBQ

3. Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

4. Chili's Grill & Bar - (Veterans can choose a free entree from a special menu)

5. Denny's

6. Famous Dave's

Those are just a few of the delicious options I found on Facebook, but here are more I found listed at va.gov;

7. Buffalo Wild Wings - Veterans and active-duty service members get a free order of boneless wings and a side of fries.

8. Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers -Today Veterans will receive a card for a free Freddy’s Original Double combo meal that they can use anytime between now and November 30, 2022.

9. IHOP - Veterans and active-duty military get free Red, White, and Blueberry pancakes. (Dine-in only and must provide proof of service)

10. Red Robin - Veterans and active-duty military members get a free Red’s Tavern Double with Bottomless Steak Fries. (Dine-in only)

While those are 10 great options to choose from, I'm sure there are LOTS more that I may have missed in the Rockford area. Also, the Veterans Day specials don't start and end with food either. See the full list of specials available to Veterans today at va.gov.
