My mother and dentist both said to me: "Ignore your teeth, and they'll go away"

According to the Senate Subcommittee on Primary Health and Aging, more than 130 million Americans do not have dental insurance, and current economic conditions leave little room to afford dental procedures.

Patients can choose a free cleaning, filling or extraction. Patients will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact the dental provider for details and limitations.

Local dentists participating include:

  • DeKalb Dental Group 2707 Sycamore Road in DeKalb, Phone 779-423-1171

The Daily Chronicle reports that in a news release that Dr. Caryn Ayarzagoitia of the DeKalb Dental Group said:

Now more than ever, there are people in DeKalb who need dental services but have no means to afford them – whether they’re out of a job, or just don’t have dental insurance, This event is a great opportunity for us to share our time and resources with those less fortunate and give back to the community we serve.
