For the third time, Rockford-raised NBA star Fred Van Vleet, will be helping more families than ever, put Thanksgiving food on the table.

Again, Fred Van Vleet, is right on time, when our community needs him most. The pandemic has been so many different kinds of difficult, and in some of the most painful ways. Communities stay strong when we all find our own unique ways to contribute. Some, call the Toronto Raptors guard, 'Steady Freddy', a nickname earned from his on-court work ethic. I believe 'steady' is also a great word to describe his love for his home.
