SNEAK PEAK: Are These Artists Coming to Flannel Jam 2024 at Hard Rock Rockford?

Flannel Jam: County Confidential + Rock is set for Sunday, October 6 at Hard Rock Rockford, but now the big question is; WHO will be performing?

Flannel Jam 2024 Artist Clues

One of the things that makes Flannel Jam: Country Confidential + Rock so special is the surprise element of it, (even though it drives me CRAZY not knowing who the artists performing will be).

This concert is first and foremost a fundraiser for two different charities that are dear to us; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Easter Seals serving Chicagoland and Greater Rockford. When you buy tickets you get to treat yourself to an amazing night out AND help two amazing charities...the surprise artists are just the icing on the cake!

The artists performing at Flannel Jam know what the show is benefitting, and have all agreed to be there because of it, so we hope you will be too!

Now, let's get to the good stuff...Here are the clues we have been given so far about this year's surprise artists.

So...what are my thoughts on who these artists could be? Good question.

Rumored Artists for Flannel Jam 2024

Honestly, I'm pretty lost on who will be playing at Flannel Jam this year...and I think it was designed that way.

Last year we received more specific clues about the surprise artists, and after we did some extensive Googling I had Lady A in my top three possibilities...which was pretty close because it was Charles Kelly from Lady A!

This year I fully believe they gave us vague clues to keep us off the trail and to make it harder to research.

All that being said, here are some of the artists people have mentioned so far that I think are a good possibility...let's start with classic rock:

1. Cheap Trick - A great guess, but I think it's a far too obvious choice.

2. Brett Michaels -The band Poison has sold over 40 million albums and has had 10 Top 40 singles, so they are under the album mark and over the single mark provided in the clue.

3. John Fogerty - As part of Creedence Clearwater Revival John Fogerty sold well over 50 million albums, but only around 5 millions as a solo artist. CCR also had 9 Top 40 hits.

 4. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Since 1991 Lynyrd Skynyrd has sold over 28 million albums, BUT that number does not include what they sold in for the 17 years before that since becoming a band.

Behind the scenes here at the radio ranch I have heard it said that Flannel Jam's classic rock artist will mesh well with the country artist, sooo...that sounds like Southern Rock to me. For that reason alone I'm placing my bets that Johnny Van Zant from Lynyrd Skynyrd will be the classic rock performer. Do you think I'm correct?

Country Artist Possibilities for Flannel Jam 2024

I'm just going to say right now, that I can't nail down a good guess for who this year's country performer will be, BUT the audio clues given above have me leaning toward a duo instead of a single artist.

People have guessed country superstars like Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Kelsea Ballerini, and Brooks & Dunn, but I'm fairly confident it won't be any of them...but you never know?!?

Here are some more likely possibilities other people have mentioned...

1. Cody Johnson

2. Jon Pardi

3. Jordan Davis

All three of these country artists have been nominated and/or won ACM and CMA Awards, have had many hits on the radio, BUT Jordan Davis already has a show on October 6, so he is out.

I still think it's a duo that's coming to Flannel Jam this year...but I guess we'll have to wait until October 6 to find out.
