First Snowfall of the Season Could Hit Rockford Next Week

I hate to a Debbie Downer here, but it looks like out worst trick-or-treating nightmare may be coming true next week.

As a kid I HATED when my mom made me put a coat on over my costume when I went trick-or-treating. I mean seriously, a coat totally covered up my sweet plastic She-Ra costume and no one could tell who I was then. To this day I will buy my kids' costumes at least one size larger so that I can layer up clothes UNDERNEATH it when temps dip way down for trick-or-treating...which is exactly what most of our local meteorologists are alluding will happen next week in Rockford.

So...no one is saying snow is a definite thing for next week, but I think it's safe to say we should all plan a layering technique for our Halloween costumes this year, or we may all end up looking like characters from "Frozen".
