Kegs Of Fireball Whisky Now Available In Illinois, Cheers!
Can you recall when Fireball whisky became a thing, meaning when it became popular? The whiskey that is the more attractive sibling of Malort, tastewise, was launched in the United States in 2001. It wasn't until elder millennials (zennials) stumbled upon it in 2011 that it became trendy.
There's A Flag On The Play. Foul. Time out.
Let me be outright with the unpopular opinion right away. Cinnamon has no right to mingle with alcohol of any sort. The same can be said about peppermint. Sorry, peppermint.
Can you tell I'm not a fan? Yes, I've done plenty of shots of Fireball but that doesn't mean I enjoyed it. In fact, there was a time I bought a fifth of it for Country Thunder and someone in our group stayed and drank the entire thing while we enjoyed 2 different bands. (She didn't enjoy the next day, by the way.)
Plenty of our l-o-v-e you some Fireball, which I'm absolutely judging you for. But, it's ok. There are actually some pretty cool ways to buy the devil's cinnamon. (I can actually smell it while completing this article.) Did you know you can purchase Fireball Whiskey in a box? Yes, like a box of wine. Check it out here.
*Note: I did a Northern Illinois search but I wasn't satisfied with the result. You could also try Binny's and if it's not there it's probably not worth drinking.
If 3.5 liters, the size of the aforementioned Fireball box, isn't enough for you you're so in luck. This is the man cave/basement or garage bar/she shed item all of your friends will be impressed by.
You can get yourself one of these 5.25L party barrels for $66 at Woodman's in Rockford "while supplies last."
Update: These Fireball barrels are popping up throughout Northern Illinois and range from $66-$76.
