Easy DIY Halloween ‘Boo’ Sign
I love decorating my home for the holidays, and I love doing it on the cheap even more.
I saw a "Boo" sign similar to this in a store the other day with a $20 price tag on it. I automatically thought, "I can do that for a whole lot cheaper", so I did. (Plus, mine has glitter and the store's didn't. Glitter makes everything better, right?)
If you shop smart you can get all the materials needed for this for under $10. Minus the paint which I already had, my bill for these supplies at Hobby Lobby was ten dollars and change. Here's what you need:
- 3 chipboard letters (I recommend using wood letters if you are putting the sign outdoors)
- Black paint and a paint brush
- Ribbon or tulle
- Glue or adhesive spray
- Black glitter (optional, but awesome)
You guys, I'm super in love with the glitteryness of this sign, but after the fact I decided to coat it with a clear finishing spray I had on hand to keep the glitter on the sign and not all over my floor, walls, hair, clothes....you get the point. Here's the one I used in case you're interested.
Happy crafting!
